Wind River Arnica Sports Rub Salve, 2oz

This blend contains arnica montana flowers, beeswax, almond or pecan oil, vitamin e and can be either unscented (shown) or contain wintergreen oil to aid in relieving soreness.

 For bruises, swellings, joint pain, inflammation, or sore muscles. Can be effective for relieving the itching and swelling of insect bites. Not for use on open wounds. Never ingest Arnica as it may blister the digestive tract or raise blood pressure, especially in coronary arteries.

 German studies identified two substances, helenalin and dihydrohelenalin, which produce anti-inflammatory effects. Other active components have been shown to decrease pain, swelling, and dissipate coagulated blood.

Arnica works by stimulating the activity of white blood cells. Its main alkaloid resembles the active alkaloid of Echinacea. This stimulation causes much of the digestion of congested blood, and releases trapped, disorganized fluids from bumped and bruised tissues, joints, and muscles.
