Did you know that (besides water, of course) tea is the most consumed beverage in the world? And we are so happy to see that here in America, folks are drinking more and more teas and herbal tisanes! What's the difference between tea and a tisane you may ask? Technically speaking, tea only comes from leaves of the Camellia sinensis evergreen shrub or it's variants like Camellia sinensis assamica. Tisane (pronounced ti-zahn) refer to infusions made from the leaves, roots, stems, berries, etc. of other herbs and plants. These are generally caffeine-free.
