Wecome back to Tarot & Tea, friends. Today we explore the Mystic Faerie Tarot by Barbara Moore with the gorgeous art of Linda Ravenscroft. The Card of the Week is The Moon. We see the beautiful purple-clad Moon fae sitting beneath her symbol, sided by her wolf companion on a throne with a crayfish symbol surrounded by daisies.
In many tarot traditions, The Moon means hidden dangers or deceit, but Barbara Moore thinks of it more in terms of perception about our current circumstances. “In the magical light of the Moon, wild wolves and monstrous crayfish can appear beautiful, and simple daisies can seem threatening. And that is the danger—not seeing what really is. The Moon fae gives neither dream nor nightmares. She lights the world, and we see whatever we choose to see.”
Our tea for the week is about clarity of vision so that we may see past the tricks of light, past the flickering shadows to the truth of what is. Combine Lemon Verbena, Holy (Tulsi) Basil, Gotu Kola, Bilberry, Rosemary, with small dashes of Cinnamon and Eyebright. This blend works on an energetic spiritual and physical level to aid clear-sightedness.
