High Priestess - Tarot & Tea

Hello, sweet Moonbeams. What a lovely day to share Tarot & Tea together! I enjoyed the misty, mystical morning. It seems like a perfect time to have pulled The High Priestess, the mysterious second card of the Major Arcana. She represents the wisdom of the Divine Feminine. Her receptivity carries boundless potential for creation. Through her intuition, understanding bubbles up from the depths of the unconscious. The High Priestess reflects a knowingness of that which is secret and hidden. She allows events to unfold without intervention because she is open to the possibilities that dwell within the unknown. She has learned to be patient and allow things to develop naturally, trusting her inner voice to reveal deeper levels of comprehension regarding the vast nature of reality.

Our companion tea blend for The High Priestess is Crone’s Power Surge. Motherwort, Peppermint, Marshmallow root, Sage, Oatstraw, Red Clover blossoms, Borage, Cardamom pods, Cinnamon chips, and Vitex berries come together to make up the perfect elixir of feminine wisdom. This blend provides a wonderful support for women entering into the Crone phase of life, as well as for those who already wear their silver crown. But wait… It’s not just for elder women, or even just for women! Crone’s Power Surge Tea is amazing medicine for anybody who feels they could use a boost of wise woman energy. This tea embraces and empowers the seeker with the medicine of the Divine Feminine in her ultimate form.

This week’s featured deck, the original Rider Waite Tarot, is about as classic as they come. Originally published in 1910, this is the world’s best selling Tarot deck of all time. The images of the Rider Waite, illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith, are inseparable from the popular idea of Tarot. Before this deck was developed, there were no actual pictures on the Tarot’s pip cards. Thus, it is from The Rider Waite that much of the modern interpretations of the Minor Arcana derive. Pamela Coleman Smith’s contribution to the Tarot cannot be overstated, and for this reason many Tarotists have taken to calling this deck the Waite Smith deck, as it was conceived by Arthur Waite and designed by Pamela Coleman Smith. It was merely published by the Rider Company, which is where it gets its commonly used name. Whatever you prefer to call it, this deck is an absolute must-have for anyone who is interested in the Tarot.
