Welcome back to Moonrise Herb’s weekly Tarot & Tea with Jessika TuCrow. This week’s card is card six of the Major Arcana, The Lovers. What a juicy card… one that many hope turns up in their reading! The focus of this card relates to—you guessed it—relationships. Representing union or the desire for union, The Lovers often is about romantic and sexual love, but not always! This card is relevant to any relationship based on deep love. The Lovers teach us about true intimacy and how to open ourselves to a shared experience with another soul. Although many tend to only think of The Lovers as a relationship card, it has another very important and often neglected interpretation. The Lovers card relates strongly to difficult choices and the determination of personal values. What is it that you really care about? Once you find the answer to this question, stay true to yourself. Do not be manipulated by forces or people who try to sway you from your morals.
The tea for this week is Silk Road, a luxurious blend that passionately embodies desire for union. Containing Wild Yam, Shatavari, Cinnamon, Sassafras, Lycii berries, Rose hips, Rose petals, Hibiscus flowers, Schisandra berries, Ginger, and Honeybush, Silk Road Tea is the perfect blend to get your love juices flowing. This tea does a great job opening the drinker up to the beautiful, creative energies of a healthy relationship. The flavor is tangy and earthy with an exciting hint of warmth.
The deck from which this week’s card was drawn is the Goddess Tarot created by Kris Waldherr. This unique deck features a Goddess as each Major Arcana card, chosen to represent the energy of card. The Goddess shown on this week’s card is Venus, the gorgeous and lustrous Roman Goddess of love. This deck is a favorite of many Goddess worshippers and makes an enchanting tool for meditation and self-exploration. The beautiful art has a soft, gentle appeal that truly speaks to the heart of the reader.
